Congratulations – you are a happy bride-to-be and probably over the moon now. But hey, don’t get too excited as you still have a long and stressful way to go. There are plenty of things out there to plan and care about so you have to be rational and concentrated.

- First thing you have to face is announcement. You can gather both families together for a dinner or give them a phone call in case they are living far away and surprise them with your engagement.
- Then sit with your partner and dwell on your dream wedding. Where and how both of you would like it to be.
- Figure out the timing: choose a season and month of the wedding. Take into account possible family feasts, holidays, weather conditions etc.
- Set a preliminary budget, define who will contribute and how much. It’d be useful to get a notebook with sections and put down categories like reception, honeymoon, vendors (photographer, musician, florist, stationer), wedding attire and rings, miscellaneous.
- Choose the location (your hometown, wedding destination, another convenient place), venue and prepare a guest list.

- Use skills of your relatives and friends who are into Do It Yourself. They can make nice handmade stuff and present it to you as their wedding gifts.
- So, borrow things especially ones you aren’t planning to use after wedding (e.g.: jewelry).
- By the way, coming to a reception door by a chic limousine is fancy, but decorating your cousin’s car and using him as a chauffeur will cost you nothing. The same is with flower décor – you probably won’t need all town’s flowers at your wedding’s place.
- And one more thing – don’t forget about formal invitations.
- The most important part of organizing the wedding is to keep yourself fit & healthy. That’s why, please, don’t forget to work out regularly, eat healthy and take multivitamins. Don’t skip on sleeps and meals. And just to make sure your stylist and make-up artist know what they have to do at your special day, arrange with them a couple of trials for hair styles and make-up. And of course dedicate some time for relaxing at spa with beauty specialist.
